Your privacy is critically important to us. This Privacy Policy explains how GIF Aura handles your data and protects your privacy.

1. 100% Local Media Processing

All GIF creation, editing, video transcoding, and local database operations are executed strictly on your local device. We do not operate any external cloud storage or remote processing servers. Your photos, videos, and creative works never leave your device.

2. Data Collection & Network Communications

We do not collect, store, or share any personal identity data, media assets, or usage logs.

• No Cloud Servers: The application does not transmit your personal files or media to any external servers.
• In-App Purchases & Payments: All payment transactions (such as GIF Aura Pro) and purchase restorations are handled directly and securely by the official application store platform on your device (via Apple's official In-App Purchase system on iOS, or the respective official app store on other platforms). We never collect, process, or store your credit card numbers, billing information, or platform account credentials.
• No Third-Party Tracking: We do not integrate any third-party analytics, behavioral tracking, or advertising SDKs.

3. Device Permission Usage

We only request device permissions strictly necessary to provide core creative features:

• Photo Library & Storage Access: Required to let you select photos/videos for editing and save generated GIFs or Live Photos back to your device album.
• Camera & Microphone (Optional): Requested only if you choose to capture live photos, record video footage, or create selfie expression works directly within the camera or media picker.

All media captured or accessed via these permissions remains strictly on your local device.

4. Face Data and Portrait Segmentation Policy

GIF Aura respects user privacy and strictly adheres to industry data protection standards and platform privacy requirements regarding camera and visual processing data:

• No Face Data or Biometric Collection: GIF Aura does NOT collect, extract, capture, store, or share any face data, facial recognition data, facial biometric templates, or facial feature mesh points across any platform. The application is designed solely for creative media editing and animation, never for identity verification or facial recognition.
• On-Device Architecture & Frameworks: In features such as "Selfie Emoji", the application utilizes system-native frameworks and on-device processing strictly locally on your device (using Apple's native Vision framework (VNGeneratePersonSegmentationRequest) and AVFoundation on iOS devices, and embedded on-device machine learning models such as LiteRT / TensorFlow Lite via local CPU/XNNPACK acceleration on other supported platforms). This process solely generates a binary silhouette mask separating the human subject from the background to power the optional "Remove BG" effect. It does NOT detect facial landmarks, analyze facial geometry, or use TrueDepth camera APIs (such as ARFaceAnchor), nor are any camera feeds or inference results ever transmitted off the device.
• Ephemeral In-Memory Processing & Zero Retention: Across all platforms, all image frame analysis and silhouette masking take place strictly in real-time within volatile device memory (RAM). No face data or segmentation masks are ever written to persistent disk storage, databases, or remote servers. All temporary frame buffers are immediately discarded after each frame is rendered or when the camera session ends. The retention period for face/segmentation data is zero (0 seconds).
• No Third-Party Sharing or Cloud Transmission: No camera video frames, face data, or processed silhouettes are ever transmitted, shared with, sold to, or disclosed to any third-party services, advertising networks, analytics SDKs, or cloud servers. The entire segmentation pipeline operates 100% offline.
• User Control: Completed GIFs, videos, or stickers created using the Selfie Emoji feature are stored exclusively on your local device storage or Photo Library only upon your explicit action.

5. Children's Privacy

Our application does not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13. Since all operations are processed locally, no personal data is gathered from any user.

6. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates will be published on this page and reflected within the app's version release notes.
